Get the most out of your city break in the most beautiful city in the world.

City breaks continue to be very popular. Especially trips to the Hanseatic city of Hamburg during the summer months. The Alsterkrug Hotel is just the place to stay with the best rates and packages filled with things to do. Life in the Hanseatic city on the Elbe is particularly vibrant at weekends and during wonderfully warm weather.

Would you like to take a time-out in autumn? Experience the colourful appearance of the Hanseatic city and enjoy pleasant temperatures, walks along the river Alster, comfortable hours at one of Hamburg’s popular musicals and a lot more… [ find out more ]

We’d also recommend a trip to the Hagenbeck zoo as well as the “Miniaturwunderland” or the area surrounding the city to get away from it all – for example to the beach at Timmendorfer Strand. The team at the hotel would be very happy to help you plan your trip. Our guests enjoy ideal public transport links right outside the hotel. If you’d rather stay within the city and don’t have a lot of time, then we’d recommend a sight-seeing tour with our partner company “Die Roten Doppeldecker” (the red double-deckers). On Sundays and public holidays you can pick up the tour immediately outside the hotel. It covers all the main places of interest – and if the weather is fine the bus is open-topped too – and while you watch the city go by you’ll learn lots about Hamburg’s history.
