    Enjoy Hanseatic hospitality

    In 2020, the Alsterkrug celebrated its 300th anniversary: it was first mentioned in a document in 1720 as the first pub on the Heerstraße leading to Langenhorn. At that time, the then landlord was granted his first licence to serve alcohol. Since then, the Alsterkrug has been an integral part of the region and has a fascinating history to tell. Amongst other things, the Alsterkrug gave its name to Alsterkrugchaussee – and not the other way round, as one might assume. Many guests are unaware of this when they enter our modern establishment. Our aim is to recount at least part of this story and to build on this long history.
