In 2020, the Alsterkrug celebrated its 300th anniversary: it was first mentioned in a document in 1720 as the first pub on the Heerstraße to Langenhorn. It was at this time that the innkeeper was granted his first licence. Since then, the Alsterkrug has been an integral part of the region and has a great story to tell. Among other things, the Alsterkrug also gave its name to the Alsterkrugchaussee and not the other way round, as one might assume. Many guests do not realise this when they enter our modern hotel. Our aim is to tell this story, at least in part, and to build on its long history.
