The Alsterkrug has a long tradition and is celebrating its 300th anniversary in 2020. On October 5, 1720, the Alsterkrug was first mentioned under this name in the land register of the Johanniskloster. At that time, the owner was Johann Hinsche, who also owned the right to serve beer and brandy. The Alsterkrug was the first guesthouse on the Heerstrasse to Langenhorn - and is therefore one of the most traditional guesthouses in Hamburg.
