    Our service

    To offer our guests a contemporary, modern and climate-neutral travel experience, we have fitted our underground car park with five public charging points for electric vehicles. Here, you can charge your electric car at your leisure and rest assured that it will be ready for your next day trip. Our charging points forelectric vehiclesare fitted with Type 2 plugs and are powered by 100% green electricity, making them CO₂-neutral.

    We offer our guests three different payment options for charging their electric cars at our charging points. Firstly, via your own provider’s payment app or the WIRELANE app; secondly, via the QR code at the charging point using your smartphone and credit card; and thirdly, via the Alsterkrug RFID card, which you can collect from reception. The charge will be added to your hotel bill.

    Charge your electric vehicle ‘whilst you sleep’. We’d be happy to reserve a space with charging facilities for you in our underground car park. The standard parking charges apply to our parking spaces, plus the cost of electricity.

    We offer our cycling guests a free e-bike charging station via the Schuko sockets in our underground car park. Anyone who’d like to explore the Alster or Hamburg by bike can hire bicycles and e-bikes at the Alsterkrug for a fee.

    General information on e-mobility

    E-mobility refers to the use of vehicles powered by electricity. This includes not only electric cars, but also e-bikes and electric buses. Electric vehicles are more efficient, quieter, emit no pollutants into the environment whilst driving, and therefore have an even better environmental footprint than diesel or petrol cars. E-mobility is a key element in the journey towards a climate-neutral society. Calculated over their lifetime, electric cars already offer a significant CO₂ advantage over petrol cars. As oil reserves are gradually dwindling, e-mobility is the alternative for the future.
