To strengthen our team at our hotel restaurant, we are looking for a traineespecialist in restaurants & event catering (m/f/d) to start on 1 August 2027 and 1 February 2028, subject to agreement

Here’s what we’re looking for:
- at least a good secondary school leaving certificate
- Being of legal age is an advantage
- Initial practical experience gained through a work placement in the hotel and catering industry is an advantage
- Flexibility and organisational skills
- Willingness to work hard, initiative and commitment
- Sense of responsibility
- Guest-oriented approach and good manners
- Good knowledge of MS Office programmes
- Very good command of German and English; knowledge of other languages would be an advantage
- A positive, engaging manner with a sense of humour; able to approach people
Your responsibilities:

- Welcoming, advising and looking after guests
- Preparing and checking guest areas
- Serving food and drinks, wine service
- Knowledge of service, food and drinks
- Decorating rooms and tables
- Working behind the bar – mixing cocktails and mixed drinks
- Various types of service – e.g. carving, filleting, working at the guest’s table
- Conducting sales discussions and preparing quotations
- Arranging events, preparing costings and creating menus
- Working with a hotel booking system and managing the hotel till
- Planning, organising and running events on site
- Planning staff rota and managing stock
- Coordinating service procedures and managing a service station
